SPECIFICATIONS (C.I.S. Div. 11 Loading Dock Equipment)
Laminated Bumpers are made of resilient recycled rubber-cord material from old truck and airplane tires. They are cut in uniform pads
and punched to receive 3/4" supporting rods. Ends of these bumpers are enclosed with metal angles under 1,500 pounds of pressure
and welded to the supporting rods. The anchor leg extends 2-1/2" beyond the rubber with either 2 or 3 anchor bolt holes
13/16". The other leg of the angle is 1-1/2" shorter than the rubber pads so that the metal will not be touched on impact.
Assembly, Installation
We recommend all bumpers be installed 1" to 2" below dock level. Welding should be done where possible and anchor
holes should be plug welded. Use 3/4" or 5/8" lag bolts with a minimum length of 3" and corresponding shields
if required. Use 3/4" "J" bolts with a minimum length of 8" and 1-1/4" projection.
One Year Guarantee
AFCO Laminated Dock Bumper guarantee offers to replace, on a service pro-rate basis within a
one year period, bumpers which
have lost their effectiveness because of wear. Damage resulting from faulty installation or accident is not covered, nor is
damage to the truck dock or personnel. Installation and freight are not included. |
