Century Flooring® is manufactured to combine utility, quietness and natural beauty. The products' main attribute for the ecology-minded designers is that Century is fabricated from recycled choice rubber tires.

APPLICATIONS
Century was originally designed for use in golf clubs, pro shops, country-clubs and other places where spiked shoes were worn. But architects and designers have developed many other uses for this versatile product. This modern floor covering is ideal for use in heavy wear areas such as airport terminals, banks, theatres, department stores and other public buildings. In addition to completely covering large floor areas, Century Flooring® can also be adhered to entrance areas where a brush and dry action is mostly preferred. (Outside applications where there may be ice and snow, are not recommended). Also, avoid grease or oily areas.

SPECIFICATIONS
Century Flooring® is made from recycled truck tires (approximate post consumer recycle content is 80%) with sidewall cords buffed to a chenille finish. Individual strips of approximately 3/8" thickness shall be secured together with a rubber or chemical set backing. Several different patterns can be laid using standard sizes listed below:

FIRE TEST
Installation of this floor covering on a non- combustible floor will not create an undue fire hazard. Applying a propane torch flame for one minute and then removing the flame, it continued to burn for 90 seconds without spreading, as simulated in fire test standards DOC-FF-1-70 and DOC-FF-2-70 Class B.

INSTALLATION
Century Adhesive must be used. No substitutes.

ACCEPTABILITY CERTIFICATION
Century Flooring® is warranted for five years on a prorate basis. Properly installed, Century should last for many years. This limited warranty only includes replacement of any tiles that have proven defective. Labor and transportation are NOT INCLUDED. If Century Adhesive is not used, this offer is null and void.

EDGING
If a border strip is desired 6" or 12" wide material in rolls can be cemented around the outside perimeter of the layout. For recessed installation use Aluminum Recess Frame style MF-153. For surface installation where needed use a vinyl transition reducer.

MAINTENANCE
Century Flooring® can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, broom or by shampooing. Mild soaps or detergents may be used, but caustic cleaners should be avoided.

CHESSY®  (CM-1722)
Specially designed Polypropylene filament matting is the answer for today's foot traffic needs. This innovative matting scrapes dirt, moisture and other elements from shoes with its man-made fibers that are designed to provide the best "brush action" underfoot. Each fiber is crimped permanently through a special production process for top quality shoe scraping. Resistant to fading and to most alkalies, salts and acids. Chessy® is also nonabsorbent and mildew resistant, water evaporates. Dimensionally stable.

CHEVRON®  (CM-1676)
The deep sculptured chevron-ribbed mat was first introduced in Europe. Using American technology, we have imitated this pattern with needle punched Polypropylene. This tough mat is ideal for entrances to building where grit and gravel needs to be cleaned off of shoes. The loop pile springs back and can be easily vacuumed. Indian Coir Fiber Runners are woven into a herringbone pattern. This traditional style matting is often used on diving boards, swimming platforms, green houses and shops or where a natural look is desired. Non-slip surface pattern. To prevent unraveling, we recommend that the heavy rubber beveled edge be attached. However, you can sew a canvas binding on yourself if desired.

VINA-COIR®  Natural Fiber  (CM-1701)
Coconut husk fibers are made into yarn, tufted, and imbedded in liquid vinyl so as to hold the fibers erect and allow odd shape layouts to be cut on the job. It is a reasonably stiff fiber which makes it a good "scrub brush" for shoes, yet it is tough and resilient enough to resist wear or permanent "matting down" from heavy use.
The deep pile construction traps and holds scrubbed off dirt particles in considerable volume under the walking surface. The trapped dirt cannot be picked up again by foot traffic as is the case of thin piled carpet type mats where the dirt is still on top, available for pickup by shoes.

WEATHER-KING®  (WK-1653)
Made of ribbed polypropylene fibers bound to a vinyl base. Very high wear-coefficient to insure long life. The contemporary hi-lo ribbed pattern adds another dimension to its good looks while enhancing the dirt-trapping capabilities of this line of mats and matting. This matting is weather-proof and can be used indoors or outside under cover. The polypropylene is non-absorbent, so dirt and moisture is held among the fibers until the matting is cleaned.
